"100% satisfied"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Husband had major surgery last May and I posted back then about the wonderful level of service he received both from A&E and the ward he was put on. He had a follow up operation in December 2013 and neither of us could not complain at all about service received, 100% satisfied.

Yesterday I had to visit A&E myself for my own post surgery problem. Yes I had to wait around but that is only to be expected and everything was fined tuned and worked perfectly. Had to go back to hospital for follow up today and my papers were sitting waiting when I checked in (considering I left A&E late last night) and I was seen efficiently and sent for a scan this morning.

All in all I think the service that is provided at Woolwich is 10/10. Far too many people expect too much. You have to realise that if you have to have something like bloods done, you will have to wait. The blood dept is processing bloods done not just for out patients but also those who are in hospital. Its a major function so please be patient. Once you have had to experience hospital life you will realise what a finely tuned cog it really is and we are lucky to have such a good health service. There are also lots of people behind the scenes who help out voluntarily at QE2. The dept I was in today had 2 lovely volunteer ladies who provided refreshments. The staff at QE2 work extremely hard.
