"Just to have someone to talk to and understand can help a person "

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

Met by a counsellor who talked me through what the treatment and techniques used for treating this condition. He let me talk about my feelings and the effect that these feelings have on my every day life.

The activities diary I was required to do out of session helped myself to gain more motivation within myself. I did more with my day and felt I achieved a lot more resulting in a happier me.

The counsellor also recognised I was aware of the panic attacks and their causes so in the following session he had already enquired about my further development in treatment within a related area. I was so pleased that after only one session the counsellor was able to see and direct me to the area of help that I really needed.

Thankyou. This has helped me tremendously, just to have someone to talk to and understand can help a person to shed those excess stressors. I look forward to my next area of treatment.

Dear Lucy757

I am glad that you found your therapy sessions helpful and the techniques out of session useful. It is good to hear that you are feeling happier and more motivated. I am pleased that you felt understood by your counsellor and this helped you to shed some of your excess stressors, as well as supporting you to identify the next stage of therapy to deal with your current difficulties.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and others who I am sure will find your comments helpful.

I wish you well with your next step of therapy and on your journey to overcome your panic and towards a happier future.

Best wishes

Jeanette
