I have been having treatment in the dermatology department for the last 6 months & except for the matron who is treating me, I have bad such rude experiences with all the staff. They treat you like you are stupid & it is so patronising, it is so frustrating to be treated this way. If you work in a hospital manners & empathy go a long way - I understand the staff may come across rude people on a day to day basis, but why treat everyone like that?! When you are being treated for something that is upsetting, the last thing you want is to go to a hospital where you are treated like dirt. I'm not sure which is worse - the staff face to face, or on the phone. If anything the staff that answer the phone are 100x more rude because they don't really have to deal with any consequence or retaliation as such. I tried contacting my Dr on the only number it showed on this ridiculous website and was ostracised because I only knew my Dr first name, which is what they went by. The advisor was so rude, sarcastic & unhelpful that after being put through to the wrong department, 4 times, I had to leave this review. Maybe not all departments & staff are this way, as the moral of this complaint is not to paint all patients with the same brush & as it should be for staff, but the ones that I have encountered have been truly horrible. This is after 6 months of treatment might I add, not a one off visit.
"Terrible staff except for 1 person"
