"You guys have been fantastic, all of you"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Ophthalmology Spire Gatwick Park Hospital

(as the patient),

I fell off a bike and broke my elbow. This triggered me having aged related macular degeneration at the tender age of 58. No one at East Surrey, where I was diagnosed, could explain it and indeed it was not in the remit of the docs to investigate I suppose. Moving on, from day one you guys have been fantastic, all of you. Thats quite an achievement over the time period. I can only take my hat off to y'all. Anything I can do for you let me know. I also had a double hip operation at Spire Hospital Gatwick in 2011 which in the circumstances was really the best option. However I must say the temporary nurses there were not quite as keen as those at East Surrey.

Dear DICO1951

Many thanks for your kind words about East Surrey Hospital. It is really great to read such effusive comments which I will pass on to colleagues.

You ask if you can do anything for us - you're already doing it - sharing such positive stories will help show other people that we are really committed to delivering great care for all our patients and that our patients see that we're doing it.

Very best wishes
