"Shocked and Appalled"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

My Mother has been in the hospital for four weeks. Mum went in because she had a stroke. The treatment has been appalling. As her daughter i have concerns, she has fallen twice. I was shocked when I saw her today (Sunday) she has a lot of bruising around her face, specially her eyes. I phoned the hospital today. They did not phone me. When you try to ask anything they seem disinterested. As for the food my mother said she would not give it to a dog. she has lost a lot of weight. I have started to take food in for her also her other visitors are doing the same.

We were very concerned to read your comments about your mother’s care here. Since your anonymous comment on Sunday, we have identified the patient (your mother) and I have spoken to your directly to reassure you and explain exactly what care plan we have in place for your mother. The consultant overseeing your mother’s care has also spoken to you. If you do have any further concerns then don’t hesitate to speak to us via the contact details you now have. Anna McNulty Ward Manager.
