"A stressful morning call out"

About: Poole General Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a carer),

I suspected my husband had experienced a TIA. I was amazed at on calling 999 and speaking on the phone to an operator, within a few short minutes the medical team were knocking on our door.

They were so bright, cheerful and caring in dealing with us both. It made my very stressful experience supportive and friendly at the same time. I felt very reassured they had come to the right conclusion to take my husband to hospital for a thorough check up. What a wonderful service we have here in the UK.

Dear wyot

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your husband is making a good recovery.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most. I would like to pass your kind comments onto the staff who helped you and your husband. In order to do this I would need to know the date and the address that the ambulance attended. Could you please contact me, at your convenience, at laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Kind regards

Laura
