"ward 3 let down"

About: Leigh Infirmary

Having had surgery here befor in 2009 having had excellent care expected same again . Had key hole surgery which would not recommend recovery long and painful . All staff were great apart from ward sister who was abrupt offensive unpleasant and far from professional official complaint is in process hospital clean administration and reception on different levels strange parking expensive and not a lot of it

Thank you for your feedback in respect of your recent surgery. I was sorry to learn that a member of staff on the ward was abrupt, which you have advised has been forwarded as a formal complaint.

Thank you for your comment regarding the cleanliness of the hospital staff our domestic staff work very hard to maintain this high standard.

You are correct that the Reception for day cases is on a different level at Leigh than the ward. May I explain that this is also used as reception for both wards 2 and 3. With regard to parking there are 2 car parks one at the Hanover Street entrance and one at the main entrance. It may be helpful to explain that the charges for parking have not been increased since 2009 and were only reset in 2013. Prior to the decision to increase the charges these were compared to other Trusts locally.
