"Poor all round."

About: University Hospital Aintree

I came in on the 29th of January due to terrible pain in my side and major breathing problems, I gta put in the SAU department who were friendly people, nice clean environment. My main concern was the amount of different doctors that tried to diagnose me day after day. Eventually on Monday I was seen by a doctor who decided that I needed a ct scan, I asked how long until I would get the scan and I was assured within 24 hours. Wednesday morning came and I still hadn't been for my scan. That morning another different doctor came to me and dismissed any pain I had had, or that anything was wrong with me at the current time. I asked about the scan and he refused it by saying I was too young for so much radiation ( I'm 24 ) I asked what's been wrong with me then and am I just expected to go home? He didn't have an answer stating you don't have to have something wrong with you to be sick or in pain, a statement that didn't go down well. In the end I pushed and pushed for this scan which he reluctantly sent me for. The results came back that I had 6 blood clots and pneumonia on my right lung. Bear in mind this doctor was going to send me home 4 hours earlier with nothing but a lollipop for my troubles! In the end I've been moved up to ward 23. Hand on heart one of the worst places I've ever been to. The staff are miserable and rude, the whole place stinks of urine. The place is dirty and the toilets outdated, my tray and the others in my room was left for an hour and a half. The staff are telling people in pain to "just wait will you" I haven't seen a doctor since I've been up here. Oh and the TV doesn't work, thank god I leave tomorrow!!
