"Lack of Parking facilities at Ormskirk Hospital"

About: Ormskirk & District General Hospital

I arrived for a dental appointment 15 mins before the time given. There was absolutely no spaces in the car park so I parked in a disabled bay of which there were twenty, all empty. If I hadnt done so I would have missed my appointment no doubt upsetting the dentist. I couldnt walk any distance as I had recently had a total hip replacement and was still using a crutch. When I returned to my car 60 mins later the disabled bays were still empty. I now have to pay a thirty pound parking fine. Thanks very much Ormskirk Dental Dept. No wonder a large percentage of your appointments fail to turn up. I am going to look for an alternative dentist.

Thank you for telling us about your experience at Ormskirk hospital which will be passed our Facilities team. We are making some adjustments to Blue Badge parking which will involve removing some spaces and replacing them with parent and child bays.
