Referred to Hospital by my Doctor with stomach pain. Arrived at 12.25pm. Waited 1 hour in reception then sent to Surgical Assessment Unit. Waited 1 Hour then questioned by the Triage Nurse. Had blood taken for testing. Waited 1/2 hour then examined by Student Doctor then examined by Doctor.
Sent for X-ray. After X-ray waited 1 Hour to be taken back to the Surgical Assment Unit, waited 1 hour then I asked when I would be seen by the Surgeon and was told that he came to the unit to see me whilst I was at the X-ray department so I would have to wait.
I then waited until the shift change at about 7.00pm. New shift said the surgeon would be with me soon. At 9.30pm I signed a discharge note and returned home. At no time during my time at the hospital was I told what was happening or when I would receive attention.
"Long wait with no information in Cardiff"
