"Knee replacement at Chorley & South Ribble hospital"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was a patient on Sellars ward at the Chorley and South Ribble District General hospital following a full knee replacement. I was most pleased with the fact that I was kept informed of the procedure of the operation and that this was followed up afterwards with x-ray prints. This helped me to understand exactly what had been done and what improvement it would make. As far as I am concerned, nothing could have been any better.

Thank you to all nursing staff, both day and night, to Mr Ravi Goyal (Orthopaedic Registrar), and to the Physiotherapy team.

Dear Wight719

Your Thank-you will be passed on to the appropriate person at Chorley and South Ribble Hospital to make them aware of your positive experience under the care of Mr Goyal and his team.

The fact that you felt that the staff took the time to explain to you what was happening is very important. You must have felt reassured by this, particularly as you stated that you understood exactly what to expect as a result of the procedure.
