About: Airedale General Hospital

This is a first class hospital that has always looked after me well, I've had no cause to make any comment until now and I make this comment because of what has occurred since my last visit. In November 2013 I visited the cardiology out-patients, my treatment by the doctor and all the staff was first class and at the end of my consultation the doctor stated he would see me in four months which would have resulted in another visit in March but when I got the appointment date it was June but on the given date in June I will be away and unable to attend. The hospital was informed which resulted in my next appointment being in August 2014. The long delays in getting appointments seems to be getting longer and longer. I can remember no so long ago when I got appointments in just a few weeks, two months at the most. As I have said I have no complaint to make about the staff or the hospital.

Response from Airedale General Hospital

We are pleased you are satisfied with the care and treatment you received as a cardiology outpatient, but apologise for the delays you have encountered in respect of appointments. We are witnessing high referral rates at the moment which is attributing to these delays, but extra clinics are being organised in an effort to reduce waiting times. Thank you for providing this feedback.
