Reading some of these reviews it seems like my situation is not uncommon. My little boy (2 years old) contracted scarlet fever over the new year holidays and became very unwell one night. At 2am we rushed him into A&E. Previous visits to north tyneside I expected the normal parking barrier where I took a ticket and worried about paying after we ha seen a doctor. In place were yellow covers over them and to be honest I didn't even look for anything else (it was 2am and I had a very poorly child). In A&E we were seen straight away, I can not commend the staff on that night enough, they reassured me and treated my son so we could return home within a hour of arriving. My positive experience was however tainted with the £70 fine for 1 hours parking in A&E from 2am to 3am on the night in question. I please urge you to reconsider this method of controlling the parking (something I know you have to do), or allow to pay after we have seen a doctor as it's the last thing on your mind when you are concerned for the health of a loved one. Kind regards A concerned mother
