"Discharge from MAU"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

My elderly father (81) who has dementia was discharged from MAU late at night dressed thin NHS pyjamas despite the fact that he had clean clothing including a warm jumper with him. They couldn't even be bothered to dress him. Disgraceful.

MAU would like to apologise profusely for what was clearly a lapse in care. The team will be discussing this at their next ward meeting. If you would like us to investigate this further please don't hesitate to contact our PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) team on 0800 953 0667 or pals@ghnt.nhs.uk
