Visited this unit for "minor surgery" I was quite alarmed at being herded together with other patients in a waiting room. Following a painful procedure I was quickly taken from the theatre by staff who thought I had a bed... I didn't, I was taken to a waiting room where I was left alone shaking, feeling faint and in pain. Waited for a member of staff... Eventually a health care assistant came, despite telling her how I felt she asked If I'd like a tea or coffee! Realising this was my aftercare I tearfully rang my husband to collect me I changed with difficulty into my clothes in a toilet. Still in pain and shaking a senior nurse finally entered the waiting room. Gave me a copy of notes regarding surgery procedure, no post op instructions, no follow up clinic date for removal of stitches. Handed me 5 dressings which I later found out did not even cover the wound. I rang the ward three days later to enquire about clinic dates, the member of staff was not interested and continued a conversation with a third party. Very rude indeed. Extremely disappointed and I certainly will not receive treatment there again.
