I just wanted to share my experience on my recent visit to Medway Hospital at the end of Jan 2014.
I was admitted to have my replacement to which I was really scared and anxious about. From the time I arrived the nurses, doctor and anaesthetist made me feel so relaxed as they explained what was going to happen.
After my operation I woke in recovery, the staff there were kind and caring, then got transferred onto Pembroke ward, which was the start of my recovery, was in a 4 bed ward, the other patients were so lovely, and made the stay worthwhile.
But the stars were the nurses, domestics and ward nurses, nothing was too much trouble, and always welcomed you with a caring smile and good word of encouragement.
They work so hard, long hours, but always had a smile, just couldn't find anything bad to say about my stay, and when I got home and heard about Medway in the news was saddened.
But my stay was nothing short of praise for those hard working nurses, doctors and domestics that look after the wards.
