"my Father, was taken into hospital ..."

About: Basildon University Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

my Father, was taken into hospital on 29th September 2007. he was taken into A&E, here he was treated with respect. all the Doctors and nurses looked after him. he was transferred to a ward. where we was told, that he didn't have long to live as he had Kidney failure and Pheumonia,During his last week, the Hospital staff on the ward made him comfortable as possible. My Aunt came over from Ireland, The Ward Staff, allowed my mother and my aunt to sit during the night, they where given cups of tea / coffee by the night staff, other members of the family sat during the day.

During the 8 days my father was in Hospital,(he died on 7th October 2007) he was treated very well by all the staff from the cleaning staff to the Nurses and Doctors, with Respect. my mother was with him when he died. the staff supported my mother until we arrived, with a cup of tea and a "shoulder to cry on"

Anything else?

Its a good idea to have the Registor office within the Hospital Grounds, at Block C. saves having to go into Basildon
