I was originally booked in as a day case 23/1 but received a call advising that they would have to change this to 7/2.As i had already agreed leave with my employer i called the doctor's secretary to explain the situation,she promptly called me back and offered surgery for the following day 21/1 which i gladly accepted.On arrival to Copford ward i was impressed by the efficiency and politeness of all the staff i came into contact with.The admitting process was dealt with immediately and everything explained well.This initial welcome allayed any fears enormously.I would also add that the anesthetist and assisting staff were wonderful,making cheerful conversation and again explaining everything.Big Thank you.
