"Had an appointment at the Gynae ..."

About: Whiston Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Had an appointment at the Gynae Clinic on 1st October. Quite a long wait but very understandable when it came to my turn to be seen. It took over 2 hours with 3 doctors involved, and everyone was so considerate and respectful.

I have an MRI scan tomorrow and an operation next week. I will post my further impressions after those appointments.

What could be improved

I think it is totally appalling that, even though I have a Disabled Blue Badge, I had to pay £3.00 for just under 5 hours' parking. I understand that there is a ticket on entry system which cannot discriminate, but surely some sort of refund system could exist for those with a Blue Badge.

Also the walk to the clinic in appalling weather was over 20 minutes from where I parked. Better signing to enable you to choose which of the two entrances to use would be helpful. Also the entry signed on the website is closed off by Taylor Woodrow.
