I'm more than a decade out of a bone marrow transplant and very much in remission so I only visit the department for annual checkups but I was impressed by the wealth of support options available for people in my position and by the amount of time and effort the staff put into me as a patient. Fortunately, I don't really need to make use of these extra services (e.g. counselling) because I've been living a normal life for about 10 years now but it's impressive that this stuff is still on offer to me so long after my transplant. I've dealt with a lot of hospital departments in my time and this is one of the most helpful, effective and efficient of the lot! Thanks to all the haemotology staff. :)
"Great haemotology department!"
