What I liked

My consultant was superb, he explained everything and reassured me about the operation and other questions i had. The ward was very clean and the facilities were comfortable. The pre-op unit was excellent and i was treated extremely well and was made to feel more relaxed before i went down to theatre.

What could be improved

it would have been helpful to see the ward you were going to be transferred to after theatre so you did not wake up in unfamiliar surroundings. My treatment on the ward. everyone should be treated on an individual basis and should be treated with dignity.

Anything else?

I had an extremely unpleasant stay in the hospital at a very vulnerable time. I felt i was not in control of my treatment and at worst was treated with contempt by some of the nurses on the ward. I would like to put a full complaint into the hospital when i have recovered from my operation.
