"Quick and caring visit to AnE"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

31/1/2014 my partner had been suffering with migrains for days, after i left for work he began to feel dizzy with blurred vision. He called nhs direct for some advice and they sent an ambulance and arrived within 10 minutes! As i arrived at AnE he was already on the ward and was being examined by the doctor. With no sign of neurological problems she pescribed strong pain killers and a fluid drip to re hydrate him. The whole visit to AnE lasted no longer than 1hr 15mins he was then sent away with substantial pain killers which finally cleared the migrain!! The doctor explained how any information they input into their computer it sends an automatic message to the GP to re assess his migrain medication. Although this was a none life threatening visit everyone who delt with my partner was very caring and sypathetic. So a big thank you to the AnE staff working today, you all did a fantastic job!
