"A AND E Peterborough"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I have read in the papers and heard on television how bad the NHS is and in particular the A AND E departments. My wife attended with suspected stroke. She was seen by a nurse in about 5 minutes. She was examined by a doctor in about half an hour. She had a head scan in two hour. She was admitted to ward B12 in four hours. She had a full CT scan and biopsy both with results in 48 hours. They are discussing her after the weekend and say depending on the biopsy she may be on chemo quicker than she can blink. She saw a specialist nurse NHS/Macmillan before discharge with her steroids and omeprazole.. They were absolutely spot on professional and genuinely caring.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback at what must be a very difficult and anxious time for you and your wife. I will ensure your lovely comments are passed onto the departments and wards that you have mentioned and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your wife well with her ongoing care and any future treatments.
