"Hip replacement"

About: Trafford General Hospital

Treatment could not have been better, very friendly staff who encourage early mobilisation and discharge. Home after 36 hrs. a bit more written advice upon discharge might be helpful, although that might be because I didn't bother with all the stuff I was given at the pre op assessment. If I ever need the other hip replacing I hope I will be able to have it done at Trafford General.

It was reassuring to hear that you thought the treatment and care delivered to you represented a 5 star rating. Our team work hard to promote and enhance early mobilisation following joint replacement surgery and we are pleased that your experience reflects this. It is helpful to know that you received your joint replacement information booklet when attending our pre operative assessment service and joint school. These planned pre operative contacts and written information aim to prepare you for your surgery from your admission through to your discharge. We are always aiming to improve our service to our patients and recently we have acted upon patient comments and feedback and have produced a discharge pack with further contact information for Ward 12. Staff are required to provide and check that all patients on leaving our care have received appropriate written and verbal information and assess our patients are happy with the information provided before they leave the ward.
