"Broken Promises"

About: Torbay Hospital

My wife attended an appointment to deal with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome problem in her right wrist. After doing some tests the doctor advised that the condition was advanced and would needed urgent surgery to avert more serious damage. He said that this would be done in early January. She had not received an appointment date by second week in January so enquired at appointment department to see if it had gone astray only to be told that there was an 18 week waiting list. She related the story that the doctor had told her but has been told that she would be put on the list for possible cancellations. My wife's hand is giving her severe pain and she is gradually using the use of it. She is now also getting symptoms in her left hand. It is now the end of January and she is unable to see a resolution to this situation.
