"Good Experience"

About: West Cumberland Hospital

I was admitted as an emergency. I was seen in A&E within minutes and was taken straight up to the ward. Nurses and doctors very nice and caring; couldn't do enough for you. Only thing that was odd was having mixed sex wards.

Thank you for letting us know about the care you received at West Cumberland Hospital and we are pleased to learn that your experience of our A & E service was good and that you did not have to wait long to be seen. We will pass this onto the staff who always endeavour to provide good care to their patients. We do not have any mixed sex wards at West Cumberland Hospital but we do have an ambulatory care service which you may have been taken to which has a mixed sex waiting room area and is not a bedded ward. It would be very helpful if you could email elizabeth.leitch@ncuh.nhs.uk if you feel this is incorrect and we will be happy to look into this for you.
