"Care of the Elderly"

About: Fairfield General Hospital

My 86 year old mother recently came into A & E with breathing difficulties and was transferred to ward 7. My partner and myself came to see her every day with my father and during that time we did not see a doctor, had to ask the staff what was going on. She had bruised her forehead and she was sent for a CT scan but was not told of the outcome. We have still not received any reports from any of the tests she had. We went to an appointment to see the doctor who I was told is a chest consultant and she reported that it was found my mother has had a few TIA's and her brain had considerably reduced, but nothing has been done about it. I feel my mother should have been seen on ward 7 by a Geriatric consultant and any results fed back to me.
