"CReSS in Croydon"

About: NHS Croydon CCG Shirley Oaks Hospital

(as the patient),

Was referred to orthopaedics, or so I thought, by my GP for consultation with Surgeon about my knee. My referral was triaged by CReSS, a private service run by a group of GPs in Brighton. Received a letter says that now I had been triaged to MCATS, 1 week delay and I should expect to be reviewed within 18 weeks. So much for my GP; he was overruled by another GP earning extra money. I had the gumption to complain and was told that there was not enough information on the referral form including the MRI scan. Within 6 weeks, after I had complained, I saw the consultant and have just had an arthroscopy. Sure enough, GP at my surgery has been blamed but the fault lies with CReSS and their tick box mentality, tick box GPs but not tick box cost to the people of Croydon. It's outrageous.
