My father of 79 was admitted last week. Communication has been non existant with myself and his Care Home who have been equally perturbed over the lack of communications. It is impossible to get informed comment at all. A long call last night informed me 'the onus is on the care home' - but they have not been informed and just cannot make contact. They personally called tonight but were met with a 'too busy' response. This sitation is just not satisfactory when my father is so fragile whilst suffering dementia. All of our details are there. The care home is communicative. The hospital is not ! They will be visiting again. I live a long distance from Yorkshire or would have taken matters in my own hands by now with the hospital.
"Poor communication"
