What I liked
The Childrens A and E (although busy) worked quickly to see my daughter and from booking in to leaving, it took 1hr. The childrens play area is certainly a bonus as the children seem to enjoy the playing and therefore not concentrate on their injuries.
The nurse that assessed my daughter was very nice and appeared experienced. The doctor was very polite, excellent with my daughter and the follow up advice given was well explained. The doctor appeared to have time for us although it was busy (and a saturday evening).
What could be improved
I found the reception staff member at the Childrens A and E very difficult to communicate with. Considering most if not all parents will be worried about their child, the staff member spoke very quietly making me have to ask over and over again what information they required. They showed no enthusiam ot compassion at all. It was like talking to a robot, and one that needed turning up!!
I also found some nursing staff quiet when calling patients to the triage room. With small children playing, a tv on and parents talking it was very easy to miss which patient they wanted.
Anything else?
Overall a very good experience. My daughter remained happy through out the experince due to the environment and staff.
