Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Medway Community Healthcare took over the GP referral phlebotomy service on 1 January 2014. This means Medway NHS Foundation Trust no longer offers a phlebotomy service to patients who have been sent for a blood test by their GP, nurse or community specialist team. Only patients who are referred for a blood test by consultants based at the hospital are able to have their blood taken at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a result of the above changes to the hospital phlebotomy service, patients can now choose to have their blood taken at a number of GP surgeries and community phlebotomy clinics across Medway – providing more choice and flexibility for patients. A number of GP practices in Medway already offer phlebotomy services for both their own and non-registered patients. In addition to the GP services, a number of new community phlebotomy clinics are now open and offer walk-in services for all patients. For details of the MCH clinics visit: www.medwaycommunityhealthcare.nhs.uk/bloodtests. For more information blood tests at the MCH clinics, patients or health professionals, can contact MCH on 01634 891900. The Medway Community Healthcare (MCH) physiotherapy (musculoskeletal) team have now moved to a new, purpose designed clinic with easy parking and access by public transport. The new clinic is based at MCH House, 21 Bailey Drive, Gillingham, ME8 0WG and has been treating patient from this new location since 20 November. Their opening hours remain unchanged: Monday – Friday, 7.30am - 6.30pm. The team continue to see patients at other clinics based in the community at Healthy Living Centres and GP practices. I hope this information is helpful and please do call the number provided for further assistance. Medway Maritime Hospital Team
