"Cytopathology Department"

About: St Helier Hospital

I visited St Helier today and it took me half an hour to find this department. Most of the staff thought I was saying "Pathology" even once I made it clear I was after "Cytopathology." I didn't even find this department on the maps situated around the hospital which further caused inconvenience. After nearly giving up as it was time for my appointment, I looked around and saw a blue door with a sign reading "Cytopathology" and when mentioned to the staff in this very department that I couldn't locate them, they said that many patients are confused and get sent to "Pathology" rather than "Cytopathology"

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear it took you so long to find the correct department and you are not alone in getting lost. We are in the process of getting a working group set up to review and improve signage across our hospital sites which we hope will improve visits to our hospitals.
