"Care Of Relative"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

My daughter has been under the hospital for over twelve months regarding cysts and adhesions on her bowel and womb. Unfortunately the hospital has done nothing to help, she saw a consultant two weeks ago. T heytold her that it would probably take between 6 and 12 weeks to have a laparoscopy and laparoscopic adhesiolysis. Unfortunately she was admitted on the 26th January 2014 with bad stomach pains and had a scan on the 27th. January 2014, a doctor then came round and said that she was going to be discharged along with all other gynaecology patients on ward 7, and then told her it would be about 6 months before she had the proceedures above, the doctor knew she was in pain but said it was not an emergency, what does she need to do to get someone to do something, once again Blackpool Victoria Hospital is left lacking.

I am sorry that you feel the Trust has let your daughter down. I will forward your concern through to the Gynaecology department. If you would like to speak to someone in our Patient Relations department on 01253 655589, they will be able to register your concerns and ensure that they are thoroughly investigated. Best Wishes Andrea
