I have visited Wycombe Hospital on two occasions recently and both made me really appreciate the quality of my local hospital and staff. The first was a colonoscopy carried out as the result of the bowel cancer screening programme. I suffer from ulcerative colitis so have had a number of colonoscopy procedures before but the last visit was carried out with great efficiency, professionally and friendly. Well done.
The second visit to Wycombe Hospital was for a DVT that I suffered following a hernia operation (done privately). I attended the MIIU at Wycombe and was very efficiently seen with blood test and ultrasound to confirm the DVT - I then saw a doctor and was prescribed drugs and an appointment made for the anticoagulation clinic a few days later. From seeing my GP to diagnosis and starting the treatment all in 6 hours. Well done all of you.
Thank you.
