I was referred by my dentist in December following a difficult root canal ( the dentist couldn't reach all the canals) I consequently developed a deep infection requiring 6 weeks of antibiotics and analgesia. I have rang dental hospital today and have been told I have to wait 18 weeks for an assessment then treatment will be planned from there. I am in constant pain and requiring regular antibiotics. This is disgusting in my opinion. I'll be contacting my dentist to see what they can do but seeing as the dentist ( who physically examined me) deemed my referral urgent and the consultant ( who has never met me) deemed it routine. Annoyed just doesn't even describe how I'm feeling!
