What I liked

I recently attended the Occupational Health Department at Macclesfield Hospital and was pleased to discover that everyone from the reception, counsellors, nurses and doctor treated me with the upmost dignity and respect.

In my last job I had reason to visit my occy health department and found them less than empathetic.At Macc although the staff are concerned with returning you to work as soon as possible I felt supported on my journey at every step.

I feel both the Occy Health Manager and the Counselling Manager deserve special recognition, they both went out of their way to help and support me.

What could be improved

The building is very old, although very clean and bright.

Better selection of reading material for waiting patients.

Anything else?

The patient information board was most informative.

I have no hesitation to recommend this service to colleagues and my husbands business associates.

I feel the NHS staff who help staff need recognition and feedback too.

We are very pleased to read your positive comments about our Occupational Health Service. All Occupational Health staff endeavour to be empathetic and understanding, at all times, and to provide patients and colleagues with the full support that they need.

There are plans to move into a new modern facility on the hospital site in the near future.
