Was referred urgently from my GP straight to the UMAU (Urgent Medical and Ambulatory Unit) at Maidstone Hospital due to concerns that I was showing possible symptoms of meningitis.
The care and service was brilliant from both the Nurse who did the initial screening and also the Doctors for was responsible for my care.
Fortunately the swift test results hoped that I didn't have meningitis and was discharged the same day. The doctor also phoned once I had got home to confirm the results from some of the tests.
