"Lack of care and concern about a patients health"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I have been waiting for nearly two years for a standard procedure. Prevarification between management and consultants and carefully control over waiting list ( to avoid breaching guidelines ) means I am still waiting. There is no one responsible for patient care. If the hospital doesn't deliver there is no-one to help solve the problem. Forget PALS they are part of and support the Trust not the patient. The complaints process is only concerned with funding out what went wrong with the process. Who gets the care problem sorted , who is responsible for patient care? Basically no-one This Trust is the worst example in yeh country of inadequate mngt and lack of concern for the individual patient

We're really sorry that you rate both the orthpaedics servicebat the QEII, as well as the wider Trust, so poorly. It sounds like you've sought help and assistance through various routes alreday, including our PALS and complaints team, and not found them able to resolve your concerns. We would, of course, welcome being given a further opportunity to engage with you on these matters - if you are interested to do so, then please email us at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net.
