"Signage at Stoke Mandeville Hospital"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / General surgery

(as a relative),

I went to collect a family member after a surgical procedure which involved an over-night stay. I was told on the telephone to collect him from the Discharge Lounge. I was told it was by the cafeteria.

When I got there I couldn't park close to where I needed to be, but eventually found my way to the hospital cafeteria. It was only after some searching that I realised there were two cafeterias!

I walked around the hospital but the Discharge Lounge was not included on the internal maps or directional signs. It took me about 20 minutes to find where I needed to be (having asked at least two members of staff where to go).

I expected the Discharge Lounge to have a large sign on the door, but it just had a piece of paper with small writing on it.
