"Waits were not excessive and nurses were cautious and friendly"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Ophthalmology Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

Went to Shrewsbury hospital and told them when I was at reception. Waited four times to go in to various rooms (eye test, retina photo, field test, consultant). Consultant said eye pressure was “normal” and field was “normal”. Then I left.

Waits were not excessive and nurses were courteous and friendly.

I am happy with both the visit itself, and the bit “TRAQS” did which was to decide on a hospital and send me a letter with the appointment details.

Dear "Jagged743"

We are very grateful that you have taken the time to share your feedback about ophthalmology services at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. We are pleased to hear that you found the nurses to be friendly and that the waits were not excessive - and by the sounds of it, you were able to receive several different tests (eye test, retina photo, field test and consultant) in a single visit rather than needing to visit the clinic multiple times. It is great to hear that you were happy with the visit to our hospital, as well as the service provided by TRAQS which is run by your local GPs. Thanks again for sharing this as all feedback - both positive and negative - helps us to understand what is most important for our patients, and focus on improvements where they are most needed.
