"I had a pool birth which was amazing"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I went to Tameside General to have my baby in one morning in June. I had really good care. I was helped as soon as I got in the door and my wishes were discussed shortly after.

I had a pool birth which was amazing. The staff were so supportive and reassuring through the whole birth.

I was able to have my own room after.

Thank you for your lovely posting. I will ensure that all the staff has sight of it. We do strive at all times to ensure that women (and their partners) have the best experience possible when they are cared for by the maternity team whether that be in hospital, in the community or at home. I would like to thank you again for your kind words and take the opportunity to wish you and your family well.

Kind regards,

John Goodenough

Director of Nursing
