I have recently undergone a open heart bypass (CABG) Quadruple heart Bypass at Nuffield Hospital . In my opinion the whole experience was extremely good. I was admitted on the 15/12/2013 and had my bypass on the 16/12/2013, this gave staff the time to make me feel settled and monitor my blood pressure and ECG readings prior to operation. I can honestly say that I have never felt at ease or in better hands. May I compliment staff on all levels for there professional and caring attitude during my short stay. - my consultant was very knowledgeable in his field and made me feel very confident in having the procedure and visited me numerous times prior and after the bypass to check on my wellbeing. The staff who had to assist me in my recovery were brilliant and showed care and compassion which encouraged me to be mobile and more independent. - Although it was a painful experience I feel the care was more one to one than it may of been, direct with NHS at LGI.- I was allowed to go home and discharged on the 21/12/2013 after being thoroughly checked over by the wonderful nursing staff. This included blood test, weight check, blood pressure, ECG, X-RAY, and physiotherapy tests. I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone involved. My recovery as been good and I am on average walking up to 3 miles per day after only four weeks and due to start my cardiac rehabilitation in two weeks time.
"Quadruple Heart Bypas : Brilliant."
