What I liked

nurses very good on theatre admissions post op surgical lovely nurses very caring and surgical assessment unit excellent and firth 9 extremely hard working and still cheerful at the end of the shift. .

What could be improved

Admitted back after surgery for post op complications through A and E while ok they are never very positive or friendly either at the start of a shift or the end and the only saving grace is hardlly anyone was waiting so we were lucky to be dealt with efficiently and out of there . I am not sure whether somebody with post op complications symptoms e.g. 2 days after op should be waiting after seeing receptionist in the queue to see the triage nurse i think there should be a fast track for people who are very recent post operative to be assessed quickly

Anything else?

i think the northern general is improving in a lot of things apart from the sense of dread you feel when you have to consider going to A and E
