I was very nervous but had been assured by my GP that all would be fine. To cut a long story short; Complete lack of privacy. Nonchalant attitude of staff to decency and a complacent attitude to patient feelings/anxietys. Everyone was nice enough and I am grateful. Yet if I could turn back the clock and if I knew the prolonged humiliation in store for me from start to finish, I would never have gone through with the procedure. I won't be having any future treatment . I'll point out that I don't have children or had any other gynaecological experience which could make me more accustomed to these things. Also, it was Friday which I have been told-in hindsight-is a bad day. As you can see, this happened 8 months ago and I am still ashamed of it. I write this as I am incredulous to think this has only affected me.
