Me and Kehinde made a quorn vegetable chilli and staff actually enjoyed it. The cooking groups were helpful. The rec hall has a sufficient amount of equipment and it is fun to partake in the activities. Badminton, pool and snooker. I have had a game of snooker with the Imam. But not father crowe, he doesn’t play anything. He just says hello and sometimes forgets my name.
The staff here on maplebeck ward are attentive but it is hard to get there attention because there is “more than one patient”…it is a very busy hospital. The trivial pursuit game on the ward is good and it’s good when people donate games to the ward. I taught the staff the ply chess. The volunteer Mary is the only one who plays with me at the coffee morning sometimes. It’s good to have someone extra to talk to – new faces as well as old. Volunteers have more time on their hands. I helped a volunteer at a community venue yesterday. I enjoyed helping. The aim for me now is to now do an access course.
