"Excellent in every way. Outstanding care"

I recently underwent treatment for HOCM and was in hospital just short of a week.From start to finish all the staff were professional yet friendly and caring. I spent 24 hrs in CCU and was amazed at the care and attention each patient received, nothing was too much trouble and I was always treated with dignity. Once transfered to Birch ward the nursing team maintained a high level of care and understanding. I was in a side room but never felt out of the way or ignored. My family were made to feel welcome in all wards and were kept informed throughout the process. Finally a hospital is not just about the doctors and nurses. Without the outstanding porters, catering and "housekeeping" teams the hospital would not function. They all deserve recognition for their hard work and support of patients. The wards were spotless, the food outstanding (with such a wide choice for every taste) and transport around the hospital always dignified. It is not possible to thank all the staff by name on this post, but I hope they understand just how much I appreciate their care and attention, over the last week. Without them my stay could have been quite the opposite experience. If you or a family member need to be referred to this hospital, you have nothing to fear, you are in excellent hands.
