What I liked

I liked the wards they were clean and tidy. The nurses were pleasant all of the time, and involved me in my care plan at all times. The doctor was fantastic but I had known them for some years anyway. Overall a brilliant hospital.

What could be improved

The food was very nice and the options were great... but it would be good if there was an option for hot food when you come back from surgery.

Fantastic

I was on 2 orthopeadic wards having an amputation. Both wards had fantastic nurses, physios, OTs even cleaners. If I had one comment that was not so good and that is that it took over a week to control my pain and this was because no one had contacted the pain clinic for advice. Had I have been on a surgical ward my pain would have been sorted straight away, but I was under an orthopeadic surgeon. Howeve even with this hiccup I would rate NGH 9/10. And am very greatfull.
