I attended A&E with my 9 month old daughter after she fell directly onto her head causing a nose bleed and other side effects. I rang NHS Direct and they advised me to take her to the hospital within an hour of the phone call. I got seen fairly quickly by the man in triage who was pleasant. A minute into being seen a doctor barged through the door talking about another patient to the triage man then looked at me and said "she's fine, I won't be seeing her you'll be off home, I'm a doctor!" Without him even checking her over, as if I was a waste of time! I then got sent into the waiting room again and then got called into another room by I think another doctor to then get sent home. I am what people call a "young mum" an I'm fed up of people stereotyping me as I'm not irresponsible and I felt as if I was judged whilst I was attending A&E especially with different remarks I got off both of the doctors. I was genuinely worried about my daughter, I wouldn't have bothered if I didn't think it was necessary. If I hadn't have turned up and something had happened to her I would have got "well why didn't you come sooner". I really was upset and disappointed when I got told to leave especially with a baby so young that I had never seen act like that before! After another day of her still not being right I will be going to the doctors in the morning
