I recently had a procedure done in the Opthalmology day unit to remove a pterigium. The nursing staff were all very friendly, reassuring and professional and also made sure that my husband was kept informed. The theatre staff were wonderful and held my hand throughout. The surgeon is the most talented and skillful surgeon and you will be in excellent hands. I cannot praise or thank every member of the team enough. The one exception is the administration team, who made a complete mess of almost every booking, and who were also quite rude and abrubt during telephone calls. Overall, an unpleasant procedure was made bearable and less stressful by this brilliant team of NHS stars. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
