"My 84 yr old Mother was admitted ..."

What I liked

My 84 yr old Mother was admitted to Aand E after a fall and was attended to immediately with the highest standards of care. There was a fast track process for fractured femurs which meant she was not kept waiting in corridors etc but received xray, doctors and nurses assessments, pain killers and bed pans in a very timely manner. The consultant orthopaedic doctor came very quickly and described the operation she would need and when (the next day or sooner). all preoperative tests like ecg etc were conducted at Aand E and then she was transferred to the ward. The ward 20 staff have been outstanding in that my mother has been confused and demanding and they have attended to her mental and physical needs in a most professional and competent manner. My brother and I have been fully informed of what is happening now and planning ahead. The social and personal care is warm, thoughtful and caring.

What could be improved

Nothing. All care exceeded my expectations and I am a professional nurse myself so know what to expect in terms of care.
